Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek

It is relatively new trekking trail as it was only opened in 2008 for tourists. It is less luxurious trek where trekkers should stay in local teahouses, homestays and normal lodges. Tsum is situated in between of Nepal and Tibet and traditionally separated from Nepal and Tibet before. Origin here of the People is Tibet, therefore, they follow the Tibetan traditions and cultures. Tsum is also said Mini-Tibet too. Locals are undisputedly one of the friendliest by nature and love sharing their cultures. This valley is still untouched from modernization as trekkers can see people practising old ways of surviving skills which may seem like primitive era.

This amazing valley is surrounded by majestic peaks like Ganesh Himal,Sringi Himal and Boudha Himal Ranges. Tsum valley trekking advances to explore the Budhi Gandaki valley through a mix of dense forest, terraced fields and hill villages. The trail also includes some glacial rivers and alpine forests. Ancient Buddhist Gompas including Milarepa’s cave, Rachen Gompa, Mu Gompa and others are the other highlights of the trekking.Overall Tsum valley trekking is geographically stunning and culturally fascinating. This trekking is one of the restricted area trekking where trekkers first issued a special trekking permit and should be accompanied by local guide.

Day 3: Sotikhola – Machhakhola (4-5 hrs trek) 

Day 4: Machhakhola – Thulo Dhungga (4 hrs trek)

Day 5: Thulo DhunggaPhilim (5-6 hrs trek)

Day 6: Philim – Chumling (Tsum valley) (8 hrs trek) 

Day 7: Chumling – Chhokang Paro (3031m) (Tsum valley) (6-7 hrs trek)

Day 8:  Chhokang Paro – Mu Gompa (3700 m) (Tsum Valley)(6-7 hrs trek) 

Day 9: Mu Gompa – Lar (3245) (Tsum valley) (3-4 hrs trek)

Day 10: Lar – Chumling (2386 m) (Tsum valley) (8-9 hrs trek)

Day 11: Chumling – Pewa (~ 2000 m) (5-6 hrs trek)

Day 12: Pewa – Ghap (2500m) (5 – 6 hrs)

Day 13: GhapLho (3180 m) (5- 6 hrs) 

Day 14: Lho – Sama (Ryo)(3520m) (3-4 hrs trek)

Day 15: Sama (Ryo) – Samdo (3850m) (3-4 hrs trek)

Day 16:Rest day in Samdo – climb towards Lajyung Pass (5120m) on Tibet border.

Day 17: Samdo – Dharamsala (4460m) (3-4 hrs trek)

Day 18: Dharamsala – Larkya La (5160m) – Bimthang ( 3720m) (8-9 hrs trek)

Day 19:  Bimthang – Dharapani (1860m) (7-8 hrs trek) 

Day 20:  Dharapani – Chamje (1430m) (4-5 hrs trek)

Day 21: Chamje – Bhulbhule (840m) (3-4 hrs trek)

Day 22: Bhulbule-Kathmandu (8-9 hrs drive)
