Everest Three Passes Trek, a thrilling adventure to Everest region which combines three high and challenging Himalayan passes which all are above 5,000 meters. The remote high passes of Everest, three pass trekking covers are Kongma La Pass (5,335m.), Chola La Pass (5,430m.) and Renjo La Pass at 5,345m. A trek which is great challenge and achievement for the trekkers itself follows the same trail as Everest Base Camp Trek till Namche Bazar which is widely famous as Sherpa Capital. From there it diverts to Thame and continue Renjo La (5,345m.) to get Gokyo valley which is a high valley with amazingly wonderful glacial lakes. In Gokyo, hikers can enjoy the superb mountains views and can explore the high Himalayan lakes. After Renjo La, it will be Cho La (5,430m.) the highest pass of Everest Three Pass Trekking. After the challenging Cho La pass, you will relive with Everest Base Camp- a place where every single need to be at least once at lifetime.
Third and the final pass of three passes trek is Kongma La (5,335m.), slightly lower in altitude than other two yet equally challenging and interesting. Amazing Everest Three Pass trekking not only includes the astonishing mountains views and challenging Himalayan passes, it also enables to explore the flora and faunas of Sagarmatha National park. At the same time, travelers can unfold the cultural wonders, traditional living style of the people living in Khumbu Region.

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the Hotel: Upon your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu a Visit Heaven representative will be there for your warm welcome who will help you to transfer to your hotel. Evening time will be for welcome dinner with Visit Heaven Team in one of the popular Nepali restaurants at Thamel. O/N.
Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing: Take your breakfast and get ready for a guided full day sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley. The sightseeing program is focused on introducing some highlights of UNESCO World Heritage sites of Kathmandu such as Kathmandu Durbar square, Swoyambhunath ,also known as “Monkey Temple”, Pashupatinath –temple of Lord Shiva and Bouddhanath; a Buddhist place. After sightseeing evening will be for trek briefing and preparation of things per need.
Day 3: Kathmandu-Lukla-Phakding (2652 m/4-5 hrs trek.): Today is starting day of our Everest Base Camp Trek. After breakfast, we take an early flight to Lukla, from where our trek begins. The scenic flight to Lukla is about 40 minutes. In Lukla, we meet our remaining crews and will have a short safety talk. After then we gear up for a short trekking to reach today’s destination Phakding following Dudh Koshi the Dudh Koshi River ‘River of Milk’. A gentle walk to Phakding is about 3 hours. O/N
Day 4: Phakding-Namche Bazar(3440m/5-6 hrs trek): Day to get the first glimpse of Mt. Everest. After breakfast, today we trek approx. 6 ½ hour to Namche Bazar. The route follows the Dudh Koshi River through many suspension bridges. A learning day to walk at high altitude apparently takes us to Namche Bazar- the trading centre of Khumbu Region. Namche will be the last point to check equipment and hire additional gears for high altitude. O/N.
Day 5: Acclimatization day in Namche Bazar: This day is for acclimatising in Namche Bazar. We can visit Tourist Visit Center and can observe about Sherpa culture and number of plants and animals that can be found in Everest Region. We can spend this day in Namche Bazar with hiking to Thame or relaxing and exploring Namche Bazar.
Day 6: Thame (3800m/4-5 hrs): From Namche, we left the classical Everest Base Camp Trekking route and turn left to trek Thame. Thame is one of the oldest Sherpa villages in Everest trekking region and also have Thame Gompa. Enjoy exploring the beautiful village. Overnight at Thame.
Day 7: Marlung (4137m/5-6 hrs): The trail from Thame heads north towards Thame Teng. From there we will pass several small settlements and will reach Marlung where we will stay overnight.
Day 8: Lungdeng (4600m/4-5 hrs trek): After breakfast, we take ascend up a trail and walk through deserted hillside to reach Lungdeng. Lungdeng offers the amazing view of Ngazumpa glacier which is the biggest glacier in the world. Overnight at Lungdeng.
Day 9: Renjo- La Pass (5,465m) and trek to Gokyo Lake (4800m/6-7 hrs): One of the tough trekking days when we will cross one of the high pass Renjo La pass. From Lungdeng, we take ascent trail and slowly heads towards the pass. Gradually and carefully we will cross the pass, and upon we reach the top of the Renjo La we can enjoy the outstanding views. From the top, we will descend down to Gokyo valley via glaciers. Overnight at Gokyo.
Day 10: Acclimatisation at Gokyo: We will enjoy a rest day at Gokyo it will offer us the awe-inspiring views of Mt. Everest and Cho-Oyu and we can also see the Northern part of Cho-Oyu base camp and biggest glacier of the world Ngazumpa glacier. Enjoy exploring. Overnight.
Day 11:Thangnak.(4700m): We start trekking this day earlier than the previous day. Today we ascend up a small peak called Gokyo Ri, which just above wonderful Gokyo Village. As we step forward to Thangnak, the views come even closer and seem more fantastic. We can view four of the seven highest peaks in the Nepal Himalaya Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu. Stretching out for miles below us is the longest glacier in Nepal - the Ngozumpo glacier, which tumbles down from the slopes of Cho Oyu. One of the best all round views in Nepal, the climb is well worth the effort. We return to Gokyo for lunch. Midafternoon we retrace our steps to the second lake and climb to the crest of the moraine overlooking the Ngozumpo glacier. The route across the glacier is well marked with cairns and takes us to the eastern side of the Gokyo Valley. Overnight at Tangnak (4700m) the foot of the Cho La Pass.
Day 12:Dzongla.(4830m.):Day to pass Cho La(5330m).With the early start, we climb up from Tangnak and approach a large boulder field. Beyond this ancient moraine, the climb to the pass is steep in places, involving some easy scrambling. The upper part of the route can be snow covered, particularly after November. The challenging pass offers some stunning views of including an unusual aspect of Ama Dablam. The descent from the pass involves the crossing of a small glacier (usually snow covered) which is fairly straightforward. We descend steeply to the grazing pastures below, the trail becoming more defined as we approach Dzongla (4830m), where we stay tonight in a very small basic lodge.
Day 13:Lobuche.(4910m.):Day to leave Dzongla, we continue our descent on an easy trail. A short ascent brings us to the foot of Awi Peak, which we contour round on a wonderful high trail with great views of Chalotse and Tawoche across the valley. After then we descend to catch the main trail again just below Lobuche. Overnight at Lobuche (4,930m) from where the sunset on Nuptse is absolutely stunning.
Day 14:Gorak Shep.(5180m.):We are now surrounded by giant Himalayan peaks; Everest, Nuptse, Lingtren, Khumbutse and Pumori tower above us. Today is very long and hard as we visit Everest Base Camp. The trail from Lobuche climbs steadily by the side of the Khumbu Glacier, and after crossing glacier rubble we arrive at Gorak Shep (5180m), a summer yak-herder settlement situated at the foot of Kala Pattar.
Day 15: Lobuche - Kongma La (5,535m) then to Dingboche (7 hrs trek): This day we will first trek to Kongma La Base Camp via Khumbu Glacier then ascend up to Kongma Pass which is one of the tough trekking parts of the day. After successfully passing Kongma La we will then descend down to Dingboche via Ijma and Chukung valley. Overnight at Dingboche.
Day 16:Monju.(2780m.):Setting destination Monjo, Today we descend down to phungithanga, follow the trail high above the dudhkoshi river. Along the way, we have the last view of mountain Ama Dablam,Khangeta, and Tengboche monastery. Crossing Namche bazaar the path descends steeply down to the Dudh Kosi river with crossing a high bridge through Jorsale takes us at overnight place Monju.
Day 17:Lukla.(2810m.):Last day of our trek, the route passes through the same village before getting Lukla. Lukla the place to say goodbye to our porters. We will have a dinner with our crews in Lukla this day.
Day 18:Kathmandu.(1334m.):Today we take a short early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, your guide will help you to transfer to your hotel. You will have a free time for shopping around Thamel. The evening will be for farewell dinner with Visit Heaven Trek team.
Day 19: Departure Day:Day to fly back home, say Namaste for memories that will last a lifetime. A Visit Heaven Trek representative will accompany you to get Airport for your departure. NAMASTE!!
